Does the program include paid work experience?
Yes. The co-op stream includes a four-month paid work term, so you graduate with Canadian industry experience and often a full-time offer. Waterloo's employer network spans Google, Amazon, Shopify, RBC and hundreds of startups in the Toronto–Waterloo tech corridor.
Can I stay and work in Canada after graduating?
Yes. As a graduate of an eligible program you qualify for a 3-year Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). Data and AI occupations are in strong demand and feature in category-based Express Entry draws, giving you one of the clearest study-to-permanent-residency routes in Canada.
